What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name (optional), and an encrypted version of your password. We also track basic usage data like how many PDFs you generate and when you last used the app.

Your images stay on your device

CutContour processes your images entirely in your web browser. Your artwork is never uploaded to our servers. The PNG you upload and the PDF you download exist only on your device. We have no access to your designs.

How we use your data

We use your email to send account-related emails (welcome, password reset, upgrade confirmation). We use usage data to enforce free tier limits and to understand how people use the tool so we can improve it.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe handles all payment data according to their own privacy policy.

Cookies

We use the following cookies, all of which are strictly necessary for the website to function:

Session Cookie: Keeps you logged in while using the app. This is an encrypted JWT token stored as an HTTP-only cookie. It expires after 30 days.

Stripe Cookies: Required for secure payment processing when upgrading to Pro. These are set by Stripe during checkout and are subject to Stripe's privacy policy.

Cloudflare Cookies: Used for security and performance. Cloudflare may set cookies to protect against malicious traffic and optimize content delivery.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. All cookies we use are strictly necessary for the website to function and do not require consent under GDPR and ePrivacy regulations.

Third parties

We use Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional emails, and Cloudflare for hosting and security. We do not sell, share, or provide your personal data to any other third parties.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data - Your account information, usage stats, and activity history are visible in your account settings at any time.

Delete your account and all associated data - You can permanently delete your account from your account settings page. This removes all your data from our systems.
